Dolores Martin - Bridal Editorial Photoshoot in La Ventana, Mexico

In January of 2022, My lovely boyfriend Chris surprised me with a trip to Belize for my 30th birthday to learn how to scuba dive. After our trip to Belize, the plan was to go to La Ventana (35 minutes from La Paz) in Mexico to visit his mother who had recently bought property in La Ventana. Our (what was supposed to be) 1 week trip to La Ventana, turned into a trip of 4+ weeks where Chris and I would eventually get our permanent residency to Mexico. During this time, one of my only camera’s on me was my 35mm film camera. I quickly ran out of film, and went on a mission through La Paz to find some 35mm film! I Googled where I could find it, and found that in a small, 3 story office building, I could find a photographer who shot with film. I entered the building, went up the stairs, and got lost. On my way of getting lost, I stumbled upon a room with incredibly gorgeous designs - those of which belonged to Dolores Martin, a lovely, kind, talented designer from La Paz. She helped me locate the photographer’s office, and although I didn’t find what I was looking for, I found Dolores. We kept in touch for the year, and recently when I went back to La Ventana this past February of 2023, I reached out to Dolores to set up a photoshoot. We put this photoshoot together in a few days - I found some gorgeous models in La Ventana, and Dolores invited her extremely talented friend who is a local makeup and hair artist to La Paz. My heart is so full with happiness that I got to work with these extremely beautiful and talented people. Enjoy!
